An important GB cover for the Centenary of the release of all Suffragettes from prison on 10/8/1914. The British Government after negotiations with Emmeline Pankhurst announced it was releasing all suffragettes from prison. In return the Women's Social and Political Union agreed to end all militant activity and assist in the war effort. The cover with iconic suffragette votes for women illustration bears a British definitive stamp with official Royal Mail Victorian style duplex Berkhamsted 66 pmk. On the anniversary dated 10/8/14. The cover also bears the votes for women commemorative stamp issue tied with red cachet inscribed "Universal Suffrage - Votes for Women". Severely restricted and limited issue of 100 covers (few available).
